Greece conducted yesterday the first Treasury Bills auction for 2013, raising a total of €2,600 million from two series of bills. Specifically, €975 million were raised during an auction of 4-week T-bills.
According to an announcement issued by the Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA), total bids reached €983.2 million and the amount finally accepted was €975 million, while the interest rate was 3.95%, compared against 3.99% reached during the previous auction, on December 11.
In addition, Greece raised €1,625 during an auction of 26-week T-bills. According to a relevant announcement, total bids reached €2,025 million and the amount finally accepted was €1,625 million. The interest rate was 4.30%, slightly lower than the 4.38 % reached on December 11, 2012.
