CEMA, the European Agricultural Machinery Association, has announced the election of Mr. Stefan Top as its new President. The decision was made during the meetings of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly on November 19 in Strasbourg, France. Mr. Top will serve a two-year term, succeeding outgoing President Thierry Krier, who led the organization with distinction for four years.
Stefan Top, Managing Director of AVR, has represented the Belgian federation Agoria on the CEMA Board since 2011. With over three decades of experience in the agricultural machinery sector, Mr. Top brings extensive knowledge and leadership skills to his role. He holds two master’s degrees from KU Leuven and began his career in 1993 as a design engineer at AVR. His professional journey includes roles as Product Manager, Sales Director, and Board Member before becoming Managing Director in 2011.
In his remarks, Mr. Top praised his predecessor's contributions, stating: “Mr. Krier has guided CEMA with exceptional dedication, strengthening our industry's voice in Europe, even during challenging times such as the pandemic. It is an honor to take on this responsibility, and I am committed to representing and supporting the diverse agricultural machinery sector.”
